This painting reflects my love of nature, colour and pattern.

Over the last few years my work has begun to draw on a deeper appreciation of nature and my own personal connection with the natural world. In my paintings I look to create a space that reflects a sense of joy and somewhere I can invite the viewer in to look, explore and interpret.

I combine observational painting and drawing of local trees, nature and landscapes with decorative details. Many of the patterns and colour combinations are inspired by designs found in patchwork, textiles and embroidery.
